Game Preview

The Kansas Jayhawks are good. WVU probably had a shot to knock them off in Morgantown while KU was playing really poorly (the kinds of performances that caused a three game losing streak), but with poor decisions, the Mountaineers let them off the hook. That won't be the case today. Bill Self's Jayhawks, due to that three-game skid, are now tied with K-State for the Big XII pole position and are battling to extend their regular season conference title streak to nine. Along with that, KU is playing to keep that crucial #1 seed alive that Lunardi currently gives them for the South region.

The West Virginia Mountaineers, however, have a little less to play for. The Mountaineers are not going to win a regular season or conference tournament title. The Mountaineers are not making the Big Dance. The only thing that WVU really has to fight for is 1) a .500 record and 2) an outside chance at the NIT. Not exactly what we're used to as fans, but that's what we have. We're not really keen to being spoilers for anyone just because we aren't rivals yet.... although I am starting to dislike K-State a good bit. Regardless, this probably isn't going to be fun, so here is a list of other things on TV at 2pm:

NBC - Gymnastics: American Cup

ION - Dirty Harry

Comedy Central - Bad Santa

Disney XD - Toy Story 3

DIY - The Vanilla Ice Project

FUSE - Wild Wild West

TNT - Catch Me If You Can (2:30, if you can hold on that long)

Prediction: KU 82, WVU 65
