Coach Scoop Reporting Ron Crook To Coach WVU Offensive Line

Several outlets are now confirming the hire.

Kevin Jairaj-US PRESSWIRE

We're not sure how accurate the current report from Coach Scoop is, but they are reporting that Ron Crook is in line to be the next offensive line coach for Coach Dana Holgorsen and the Mountaineers football team. At the time of this posting, the only other confirmation comes from CoachingSearch.com.

A Parkersburg, WV, native, Crook is a graduate of Parkersburg South and West Liberty in West Virginia. He has had coaching stints at West Liberty, Cincinnati, Clarion, Glenville State, WV Tech, Illinois, Harvard, and most recently Stanford. Currently Crook is the tight ends and tackles coach for Stanford University.

If this turns out to be the case, I sure as hell hope this turns out better than the last guy we brought in who coached some All-American tight ends. The fact that he had significant time coaching good offensive line units elsewhere helps to ease the hesitation from the possible repeat of recent history.

Sorry, but we haven't had time to check out Crook's recruiting credentials as yet.

Stay tuned. We will update as soon as anymore information and confirmations take place.

UPDATE: Multiple outlets are now confirming the hire.
