Basketball Exhibition Game Thread: West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Fairmont State Falcons

The weather has turned colder and the sky is darker earlier. That means basketball season is upon us once again.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Really? Basketball already? I don't know about you, but those are my thoughts right now.

Coach Huggins puts our Mountaineers on display to the public for the first time in competition tonight against his former assistant, Jerrod Calhoun, and the Falcons from Fairmont State. It's only an exhibition game but actually the second one of the season (the first against Ohio State was closed to the public).

It's a revamped roster for WVU this season with not a lot of experienced players. It's also a smaller roster than we're used to seeing. The success of this team this season will largely depend on the leadership of Juwan Staten, Eron Harris and Terry Henderson. Which newcomers will we be talking about the most? Tonight is the first chance to find out.
