Bob Huggins Announces Two Early Signees For WVU Basketball In 2014-2015

Huggs added two more guards to the roster next season.

Today, West Virginia Mountaineers basketball coach Bob Huggins announced two signees as part of the early signing period that began November 13. Signing their national letters of intent for the 2014-15 school year are Jevon Carter and Daxter Miles.

Carter is a 6'2" 180 lb guard who is currently playing for Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL, where he averaged 18 points per game as a junior last season. He is rated as a 3 star prospect by all of the major services (Scout, Rivals, 247 & ESPN).

"Our staff saw Jevon in July and all four of us fell in love with him," says Huggins. "He has the ability to score as well as run your team. Jevon definitely has a great knack of getting his hands in the passing lanes and deflecting balls He reminds us in some ways of former Mountaineer Truck Bryant."

Miles is a 6'3" 180 lb guard who plays at Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, MA. Last season he attended Dunbar High School in Baltimore and averaged 15 points per game. Miles is also rated as a 3 star prospect by Scout, Rivals & 247. ESPN has him rated at 4 stars.

"Daxter will significantly upgrade our team's athleticism," says Huggins. "He has very good speed with the ball and a great knack for finishing at the rim. Dax will be able to play multiple positions for us. He has outstanding athleticism that should be make him a very good on-ball defender."
