Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Abita Beer's Purple Haze in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.

We've almost made it. The off-week is almost over. Good news should be coming as the long-imminent TV deal is set to be signed and announced today. Cha-CHING!$$$$$! There's also a few player features to check through. The soccer teams played to a pair of draws last evening and season tickets for basketball will go on sale Monday. It's also the first weekend of REAL NFL football and Caleb gives us a preview of the Mountaineers who will/could see action. There's also your usual Big 12 roundup and much, much more...
