The Shotgun/Throwdown: Labor Day (9/3/12) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Aguila beer, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.

Today we have more reactions and a few things you may have missed in the win over Marshall on Saturday, including some cool stats and an awesome gif. Geno's Heisman attention is certainly increasing and he was named a national player of the week. With Baylor's blowout win last night, the Big 12 had a perfect weekend. High fives all around. It's nice to be part of a conference that can at least beat FCS opponents (<=this will never get old). We also have some WVU soccer results from the weekend and Caleb gives us a rundown of the final NFL roster cuts involving Mountaineers. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday everyone!!
