The Shotgun/Throwdown: First Day Of Classes (8/20/12) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Rugen Brau.

The first tell tale sign that the season is ever upon us is that I'm starting to have nightmares about it. We're under the two week mark before Kickoff 2012 and there's a plethora of pinatas articles and features to get through today. WVU's #11 ranking is discussed a bit, along with leaders on defense, the offensive line and the current state of the running back stable. I've also got the much discussed Pete Thamel articles regarding Hargett and his time at WVU. In brighter news, the Women's Soccer team rebounded from their season opening loss with a win yesterday and WVUPros tells us what happened when Bruce met Peyton. We have all of this and much more. For the students among you, enjoy your first day of classes. This should be a very memorable semester.
