Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you by Rugen Brau until I can come up with a permanent image for this space.

Today, we have updates from all over. There's football updates, player interviews to go along with more on the gray uniforms, including Coach Holgorsen's take (plus he weighs in on the new playoff system). There's also some summer league basketball reports, baseball stadium updates, WVU and TCU prepare to celebrate their entry into the Big 12 this weekend and MSNsportsNet has a new name. The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host a cookout for all Mountaineer student-athletes, coaches and staff in celebration of its membership into the Big 12 Conference on Sunday, July 1 at 5 p.m.
