Welcome, By-Godders, to the Fall Down Pass Out. As the gif above suggests, ESPN has opened the voting up again for the College Gameday commercial. So get over there and vote for West Virginia.

Also of note is the book by Marshall's compliance official during the Pruett years, David Ridpath. It's not a pretty picture for Marshall. But this? This is gold.

..."he makes special mention of Chuck Landon, a Charleston columnist during the MU scandal's eruption: "Landon was a quintessential jock-sniffer who felt empowered by his almost creepy fawning association with Pruett ..."

Follow after the jump for the latest Mountaineer and Big 12 links.

Mountaineer Links

CBS bowl predictions- They have WVU playing Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. They also have Rutgers against Clemson in the Orange Bowl. So take it with a huge grain of salt. No wait, RU will probably be the best 7-5 team in the Big East next year.

Switzer to welcome WVU to the Big 12 - More on the coaches caravan. Looks like Billy Simms is coming with Switzer. Now I really have to go. If, like me, you were a kid when Billy Simms was running wild over every defense that lined up against him, this is kind of cool.

Despite score, WVU loses on Orange Bowl trip- We lost $217k. Could have been so much worse, though. I'm sure this isn't being brought up as an issue with the BCS and bowls in general. Kickbacks and payoffs ain't cheap, ya know.

Poll shows most indifferent to WVU's move to the Big 12 - I'm thinking they didn't ask anyone that cares about sports.

NBA mock drafts - From the Baylor perspective, but there's several mock drafts to look at. I don't have time to look at all of them, but no Kevin Jones in the ones I saw. That, my friends, is horse shit.

Guys and gals, I'm sorry. Today just got a whole lot more crazy. I'm going to have to cut it off here.

My friend Todd Burge wrote this because he was opening up for Tim O'Brien on a mini-tour. They're good friends and Tim actually insisted he play it after hearing it. It's really funny if you've ever opened for someone that is vastly more popular than you.
