The Shotgun/Throwdown: Monday (3/5/12) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Svyturys beer, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.

It's Big East Tournament week!! This is the one single thing I'll miss about the Big East. As the men prepare for their Big East Tournament, the women have reached the semi-finals of their's. We have several recaps/features of their win over Georgetown yesterday and a look ahead at today's match-up against Notre Dame. Also worth noting is a new book by Mike Casazza that is definitely getting added to my reading list. We also have plenty of notes and other bits of interest, as usual.

Did you Vote for Huggs today? He's in the Final Four. Make sure you vote once a day, every day through March 8 and help Huggs win $100,000 for the Norma Mae Huggins Fund for cancer research in WV.
