The Shotgun/Throwdown: Thursday (3/1/12) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Firehouse One Ton Imperial Stout.

Today we have some clarification on new football defensive coach Erik Slaughter's "incident." AD Luck stopped by and read to some youngsters yesterday (the picture is worth the click). Huggs thinks that WVU is in the dance, but would obviously feel better with a couple more wins. Has Truck gotten back on track? We also have an update on signee Elijah Macon and I'm trying to get more and more Big 12 news to eventually make the full switch after the end of the Big East Basketball Tournament in the next week or so.

Did you Vote for Huggs today? He's in the Final Four. Make sure you vote once a day, every day for the next week and get $100,000 for the Norma Mae Huggins Fund for cancer research in WV.
