The Shotgun/Throwdown: Monday (2/20/12) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Cerveza Gülmen, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.

On Saturday, the women's streak came to a halt at the hands of DePaul. While their streak may have ended, you can definitely see the improvement in this team that, with little returning experience, not a lot was expected from them, initially. We also have several men's features with looks ahead to the contests this week with Notre Dame and Marquette. Hertzel also takes a look at some of the already existing areas on the WVU athletic campus that need some serious upgrading for competition in the Big 12 (see: baseball, Hawley Field, ). He also touches on the likely men's sport that WVU needs to add to be compliant with the Big 12. Plus, Huggs needs us all to keep voting. All of this and more...
