The Shotgun/Throwdown: Irish Hangover (2/13/12) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Kilkenny Irish Beer, in honor of the big women's victory yesterday.

Now this is a good Irish hangover. While the men have had trouble closing out games, the women have just defeated their second ranked opponent in a row by taking down the #2 ranked Irish yesterday. And as I just alluded to, the men are trying to figure out how to just win games right now. We also have some news on the amount of money WVU wound up taking a hit for in the Orange Bowl trip (it's actually good news) some bits on former Mountaineer players, in action, charity and post-college life. And in recruiting news, a WV's top football player now has a WVU offer to go along with several other big name schools after this past weekend's Junior Day. All of this and more...
