Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Cruzcampo, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.
West Virginia showed it can hang with the big boys of college football Saturday, despite the lopsided final score on the field. On the field, WVU has enough talent and the right coaches to compete. Yet at the same time, WVU doesn't have enough talent to make the mistakes they did and still win the game. Off the field, at the College GameDay set, around the stadium and in the stadium Saturday night, the Mountaineer faithful put on an wonderful display for the opposition and the nation to see. Despite the loss Saturday, I don't know of a prouder time for me to call myself a Mountaineer.
