The Shotgun/Throwdown: Monday (9/12/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Heartland Brewery's Stumpkin.

It's been two days and despite the second half fireworks by the WVU offense, most people are focusing on the first half. The slow start is definitely a cause for concern with the first road test this week and then the biggy at home next week. If this continues to happen, it could be a long season for the Mountaineers. As for me, I'm hoping Saturday's start was just the wake-up call needed by the players. For the degenerates among you: according to The Big East Coast Bias's Mark Ennis, the line for the Maryland game opened with WVU being a 3 point favorite, but it has already shifted to the other side as a 1 point dog.
