The Shotgun/Throwdown: Monday (4/4/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Cubanero Fuerte, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.

Since we last met here, two more spring football practice sessions have been completed and everybody seems happy. The players are happy and having fun. The coaches are happy and pleased with effort despite mistakes. Basically, things seem good around Mountaineer football at the moment. In other news, WVU is losing it's long time Gymnastics coach to retirement. After 37 years of service and more victories than any other coach at WVU, Linda Burdette-Goode is stepping down (this was not an Ollie force out, based on tweets from Dobies). We thank her for her service and wish her all the best!!
