The Shotgun/Throwdown: Tuesday (4/12/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Royal Duffer Golf Society Lager, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.

In addition to today's football reports, AD Oliver Luck lays out more plans for changes and is still (more like constantly) evaluating everything. I think people better get used to the idea of things changing, and a few things they may not like or agree with. There's a reason Luck has been so successful in everything he's done. He's not just going to change things to put his stamp on them. He's changing things to make the Athletics Dept. better. And I also firmly believe that if he's wrong about a change, he'll admit it and try to fix it. There's also plenty more on the fallout of the Villanova football decision.

"I've been around a lot of stadiums and a lot of different crowds - college, professional, different sports - and the one thing that surprised me was the number of people who left at halftime," Luck said. "It was shocking. In some cases, there were tens of thousands of people leaving at halftime and a lot of those folks were not coming back."
