The Shotgun/Throwdown: Thursday (3/31/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Falls City, as suggested by a very important friend of mine.

Spring drills got underway yesterday with a morning practice that was open to the media for only 30 minutes. Of course, everyone wanted to see the new offense taking shape and speak with the new coaches, especially Dana Holgorsen and Daron Roberts. Well, they got to speak with Coach Roberts and few others at least, but not the new Offensive Coordinator. On a side note, you might notice the decals/logos still on the helmets in the photos and videos. New uniforms in the works? We will see...

"Can you envision someone catching 100 passes for West Virginia this year?"
The CliffsNotes version of the answer was, "Yes."
And the way it was said it sounded more like, "Are you kidding? Certainly."
No player has ever caught 100 passes in a season at WVU.
No one has caught 90 passes in a season.
No one has caught 80.
