The Shotgun/Throwdown: Tuesday (3/22/11) Edition

New, 1 comment

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Dock Street Bohemian.

The WVU women have a chance to advance to their Sweet 16 tonight, but to do it they will have to beat #1 seed Baylor...on their home court. Elsewhere, Charley's post yesterday looks to have sparked a slew of articles in response to the Big East's tournament woes/national standing. There's also some updates on Da`Sean Butler and an interesting article on Jerry West that Caridi dug up.

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE" at the top of the page). Many thanks to those who already "LIKE" us. We now stand at 693. 700 is getting closer and closer. Just seven more. Let's get there by the weekend. Please, spread the word!! It's all inside. See ya after the jump.

It could change in an instant, of course, but as each day passes whatever is or isn't happening between Mike Anderson and Arkansas, indicates a decreasing likelihood that the Missouri Tigers basketball coach will become the Razorbacks basketball coach and that Arkansas attention could soon turn to Marquette coach Buzz Williams or Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall.
