The Shotgun/Throwdown: Tuesday (3/1/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Xirdalan beer.

Last night, on senior night, the WVU women picked up a much needed victory over St. John's as they now head into the post-season. Up next for the women is Cincinnati in their Big East Tournament this Friday. Back on the men's side, WVU has two big games to close out their regular season this week. While the double bye is out of play, WVU is still fighting for a single bye. There's also a bit of NFL Combine results for WVU players inside today as well.

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE" at the top of the page). Many thanks to those who already "LIKE" us. We now stand at 669 (we lost 2 again?!?! WTH?!?). 700 is looming in the distance, but it's in sight. Please, spread the word!! Green light for the jump...
