The Shotgun/Throwdown: National Signing/Groundhog/Seton Hall Gameday (2/2/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Woodchuck Draft Cider, in honor of Punxsutawney Phil, who did not see his shadow today.

National Signing Day is finally here (if you haven't noticed by all of the activity this morning). As I type this, WVU has 12 of the expected 17 LOI's in hand so far, plus one surprise. Any more surprises? Keep checking back for updated coverage and be sure to follow @SmokingMusket on Twitter (or at least check the Twitter time-line page that I linked) for tidbits between postings.

It is still basketball season and the men have an important game tonight against a dangerous Seton Hall team that has been playing quite well of late. Also, the women picked up a much needed win last night against Providence.

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE" at the top of the page). If any of you didn't realize, clicking on "LIKE" on the individual articles just likes that particular article, but doesn't "LIKE" our main page. Many thanks to those who already "LIKE" us. We are now at 638. Let's see how fast we can get to 700. Please, spread the word!! Jump time...
