The Shotgun/Throwdown: Thursday (2/17/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Monty Python's Holy Ail, because it's just a flesh wound, your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

When the biggest news of the day is WVU Baseball getting underway tomorrow, you know it's a slow news week. I was, however, able to find several interesting tidbits/features regarding the basketball and football teams and coaches.

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE" at the top of the page). Many thanks to those who already "LIKE" us. We are still at 663. 700 is looming in the distance, but it's in sight. Please, spread the word!! After the jump is where the fun is...
