WVU vs. Miami MAPOG: Truck Bryant

(MAPOG stands for Most Awesome Player Of the Game. Sometimes it's an obvious choice, as with last night's game. But, sometimes it isn't always the player that stood out the most, but the one who did the little things that had a big impact on the outcome of the game.)

There was a point early in the first half last night when Truck led a one on four break and decided to drive the lane. Yes, he drew a foul, but most Mountaineer fans probably had the same thought, "Oh, no...not this Truck again...not after the good game he had against K-State." Little did we know what Truck had in store for the fans last night.

Maybe Huggs can arrange for Truck to play against his best friends more often, because last night, against his longtime friend Malcolm Grant, Truck had a career night. He finished the night with a game high 27 points (best of his career) on 9 of 12 shooting from the field, including another career best 5 of 7 from downtown. During the 31-5 run that WVU went on at the beginning of the second half, Truck wound up scoring 10 straight points for the Mountaineers.

"I just stayed focused in the second half, I’ve been feeling good," Bryant said. "I just needed that one good game to put me where I needed to be and I had it – so, now I’m just in a groove and I feel like I can’t be stopped right now." - Metronews

Whether it was playing against his good friend, the bright yellow shoes or something else, let's all hope this is just the beginning of things to come for Truck this season and he stays on this hot streak.
