Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Otter Creek Stovepipe Porter.

No rest for the weary, because the men are back on the court again tonight to take on Alcorn St. (see our preview HERE). In other action, the WVU men's soccer team will open up their NCAA tournament at home tonight against Xavier. We also have some recruiting bits for you for both basketball and football and Bruce shows he has a heart.

Coming off an injury, junior running back Shawne Alston has been the Mountaineers most consistent RB in the past few games. Shawne is a criminal justice major who has learned many life lessons as a student-athlete.
