The Shotgun/Throwdown: MLK Day and Weekend Hangover (1/17/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Victory Storm King Imperial Stout in honor of the weekend victories over Syracuse and Purdue (*not the storming of the court, despite the name implication) and today's holiday.

The Mountaineers got two much needed basketball victories over the weekend. The women got theirs to get back on the winning side of things after a loss earlier in the week and the men got a very big NCAA Tournament resume boost with theirs. Being a hangover edition, there's lots and lots of post-game fallout to sort through. I also have the results from all of the weekend BE (men's) action as well.
