Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Gambrinus, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.
TCB first. The women dropped their first game of the season last night at Marquette (also, it's a place they've never won). I solemnly vow to never again mention any good streak that a WVU team is on again until such streak has ended. Now that I have that out of the way, we can talk about the football team a few miles North, off I-79. They've hired at least 3 former WVU assistants (with possibly 3 more on the way). I don't know about you, but I'm rather giddy with excitement of a Dana Holgorsen coached offense throwing against a Tony Gibson coached defensive backfield (plus, see the lead-off items inside in WYMHM and NoN).
