Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Sagres, in honor of today's Miss Throwdown.
It's Maryland week. I realize for most of the state, this game doesn't mean much in terms of a rivalry, but over here in the Eastern Panhandle, it means a great deal. Many of us work or have family in Maryland and we're always hearing about it. But, even if you don't consider this a rivalry game, last Friday showed us that every game counts and matters. Good Lord, is there ever work to be done if this team is going to have a chance to go far. Hopefully, last Friday can be one of those pivotal moments we can fondly look back on and say, "That's where it started." Of course, the opposite view could also come to pass with the same saying. Time will tell. If you have any tips, suggestions or requests, you can send them to me by email or Twitter. The show starts after the jump...
