The Shotgun/Throwdown: Friday (12/16/10) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Delirium Noel, a Belgian Ale.

Of course, the big news was Ollie's presser yesterday and the revelations from it and other news outlets regarding the hiring process. Elsewhere, there is bowl prep going on and Brandon Hogan is attempting to be able to play. Huggs has the men back in action tomorrow afternoon against an undefeated Cleveland St. team in a matchup that many of the major outlets are pointing to as a barometer for both teams. If you're going to the game tomorrow, there is a food drive happening, so bring a non-perishable food item with you please. Also, the #8 ranked WVU women are back in action at the Coliseum tomorrow night as well against St. Francis.

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE"). If any of you didn't realize, clicking on "Like" on the individual articles just likes that particular article, but not our main page. Many thanks to those who "Like" us already. Another goal reached!!! We now stand at 525. We're still a long way from the 17000+ for our old page, but we're working on it. Our next goal is 600. Spread the word and see if we can get there by the end of 2010!! We can do it, but we need your help. Enjoy your weekend and see you on the Dark Side of the Jump...
