Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. Sure, you get gifts on Christmas, but it is never what you actually want and my pretend to be happy about my gift face never developed as a young adult, so I always end up starting drama. I'm sorry, but I asked for an I-Pad not a new bed for my dog. Anyway...
On Thanksgiving you are encouraged to eat great food until you have to loosen your belt. Naps are encouraged in the middle of the day. You spend some quality time with family. (Ed. Note: This may be a negative to many) Also, don't forget that you get to watch some great football four straight days without any nagging from the women because they are all out spending your hard earned money at the mall. PERFECTION!
It is going to be a great weekend! I hope you all have safe travels, Let's Go Mountaineers and EAT SHIT PITT!
Now, on with the picks...
- Texas A&M (-3) @ Texas

- Texas (+3) vs. Texas A&M - A&M has covered five straight, and I just can't believe that Texas is this bad.
-
Alabama (-4.5) vs. Auburn - Sagarin's Predictor says that Bama should be a 16-point fave, and the Tigers have covered four straight. Bama helps TCU's dreams come true?
-
Nebraska (-17.5) @ Colorado - The Buffs have looked better since Hawkins was given his walking papers, but the Huskers take out some frustrations this week.
-
Michigan (+17) @ Ohio St. - The Product's team has put a huring on me the last three weeks. They haven't covered in seven straight games, while the Buckeyes have mastered the number three straight. I believe Rod's job might be on the line, so I expect the Wolverines to play desperate. The lose, but close.
-
Arkansas (-3.5) vs. LSU - I have been right about this game once since 2001, so beware. Gimme Arkansas, just because of that 2.9 yard advantage in yards per pass attempt.
-
Oklahoma (+3) @ Oklahoma State - figures to be an aerial show, but I like the Sooners' 4th best pass O vs. the Cowpokes' 108th pass D.
-
South Carolina (-2.5) @ Clemson - I'm a bit spooked by the Gamecocks' legitmately bad pass defense, and Clemson's D isn't 9th in scoring defense for nothing. Still, SCar gets it done by a field goal.
-
Mississippi State (-2.5 ) @ Ole Miss - This has been a tough year for both the Egg Bowl participants. Close losses, all year, it seems, for both. The Rebs have covered seven of the last 10 games in this series, and the last four played in Oxford. But I think Mississippi State will enjoy exploiting Ole Miss' porous defense -107th in scoring D.
-
Florida (+2.5 ) @ Florida State - I am still kind of shocked that the Seminoles are a favorite, even at home. Do you realize they haven't won this game since 2003, and have covered only once in those six losses? Jimbo, prove it to me.
-
Utah (-9 ) vs. BYU - Roughly even in schedule strength, point spread under 10, and the Utes sport a 2.5 yard advantage in yards per pass attempt. A 69-percent angle. Gimme the U over the Y.
- WVU (+2.5) @ Pitt - there are absolutely no statistical advantages of the kind I care about (top 25 percent in something vs. bottom 25 percent in something)in this game, save one: the Mountaineers are 25th in fewest penalites per game, while the Panthers are 99th. Not much to go on, huh? We get our usual first-half touchdown, hit on three-of-four field goals, and a defensive score seals the deal. WVU 23, Pitt 17.
