The Shotgun/Throwdown: Veteran's Day (11/11/10) Edition

New, 7 comments

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. Today we're honoring the U.S. Veterans, because they have sponsored us all. Thanks to all who have ever served!!!

Football is preparing for Cincinnati and there's several player interviews to peruse inside. The first day of the early signing period for basketball is behind us and WVU gathered up a total of nine commitments (5 men and 4 women). Will there be any more surprises before the period is over? We'll have to wait and see. We also have a good bit of basketball videos for you today as both men and women tip off the regular season tomorrow night. Don't forget about the parking situation at the Coliseum all day tomorrow, if you're going to be in the area (other events throughout the entire day are going on).

If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter and don't forget to "LIKE" the Smoking Musket MAIN PAGE on Facebook (follow this link, then hit "LIKE"). If any of you don't realize, clicking on "Like" on the individual articles just likes that article, but not our main page. Many thanks to those who have already. We're back up to 298 right now (a far cry from the 19000+ for our old page). Let's set a goal to get to 400 by game time on Saturday. Spread the word!! Come on in...
