The Shotgun/Throwdown: Friday (10/1/10) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Spaten Oktoberfest.

Welcome to October and the end of one of the most boring bye weeks ever. The Big East games tomorrow aren't going to help any either (do they ever, lately?), but that's what cable and satellites are for. This TCU thing is actually gaining some steam, by the way. Next week has to be better (if nothing else, there won't be another loss to moan about). There's still lots inside to keep you occupied. If you have any tips, suggestions or requests for content that you think is worth sharing, you can send them to me by email or Twitter. UPDATED 10:30 am. Enjoy your weekend and see you after the jump...
