Post-Game Hangover
Sunday Post-Game Hangover: Orange Bulls (3/4/12) Edition
Saturday was good to WVU basketball as both hoops squads secured victories in their contests. The men fought through an ugly game against USF to come away with a regular season capping victory while the women took care of Syracuse in their Big East Tournament. Up next for the women are the Hoyas today at noon. The men are off until Wednesday at noon in their final Big East Tournament, where they will face the winner of the UConn/DePaul first round game. Further coverage of the wins awaits...
Did you Vote for Huggs today? He's in the Final Four. Make sure you vote once a day, every day through March 8 and help Huggs win $100,000 for the Norma Mae Huggins Fund for cancer research in WV.
Post-Game Hangover: Marquette (2/25/12) Edition
I don't know about you, but I'm kinda tired of these "quality losses," ie close losses to ranked teams. One of the articles featured inside says "Huggins fires off on freshman." Maybe it's just me, but it seemed most of those words were pointed at the big Turk. More post-game coverage is after the jump...
Sunday Post-Game Hangover: Louisville (1/29/12) Edition
Coliseum Vision highlights from West Virginia's 77-74 loss to Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va.
If the WVU basketball team played horseshoes, hand-grenades or thermonuclear weapons, they would be sitting pretty in the conference (and national, for that matter) standings. Close games with close losses is likely how this season will be remembered. Not that it's over yet, by any stretch. Huggs said, "we're THIS close." The only problem is, "close" doesn't do you any favors in Big East basketball and certainly not when it comes down to selection Sunday in a couple weeks. Five games and a conference tournament is all this team has left to prove it's worthy to go dancing...and prove it with wins over good teams, they must. All of the usual post-game coverage is inside.
Sunday Post-Game Hangover: Syracuse (1/29/12) Edition
(higher quality replay linked inside that wasn't embeddable)
We got screwed and the world knows it, but it's no conspiracy with the league. I'm not going to try and wax poetic about it. They blew a call and we lost. Full coverage, as usual, of the loss is inside...including more on the controversy. There's also coverage of the women's win too.
Sunday Post-Game Hangover: Cincinnati (1/22/12) Edition
On a day when the football team was honored at halftime, a freshman and a senior stepped up their games and willed WVU to an overtime victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats. We have complete coverage of the victory inside, along with coverage of the Women's victory in their version of the Backyard Brawl.
Sunday Post-Game Hangover: Rutgers (1/15/12) Edition
As a friend of mine so eloquently put it yesterday afternoon, there are 3 certainties in life: death, taxes...and WVU beating Rutgers. Kevin Jones did what Kevin Jones does and the Mountaineers put away the Scarlet Knights early, leading 48-22 at halftime on their way to a 84-60 victory. Complete coverage of the rout is inside, including several player features and coverage of the players reunion that was attended by over 100 former Mountaineer cagers.
Sunday Post-Game Hangover: Hoyas and Wildcats (1/8/12) Edition
The best week ever continued yesterday as the Mountaineer hoops squads both posted victories against Big East opponents. The men dropped ninth ranked Georgetown behind what's becoming the usual big games from Truck and KJ. Later in the evening, the women took care of Villanova. Recaps, videos, galleries, interviews, etc are waiting inside.
Post-Game Hangover: Islanders & Practice Facility (12/18/11) Edition
To go along with today's usual coverage of WVU's win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, we have several photo and video tours of the new practice facility.
