The West Virginia University men's basketball team suffers defeat giving up a put-back with 0.4 left to finish their conference tournament trip.

Well, that ended exactly the way you think it would. From a first half that WVU once was down by 14, the Mountaineers were playing very well in the second half eventually leading with eight minutes to go. These final eight minutes proved to be extremely entertaining to neutral fans and heart-wrenching to invested ones. Cut to the main moment: tie game at 69 with TTU controlling the ball. They play for the last possession, drive the lane, Aaric Murray blocks the shot. The ball goes to the corner with a Tech player for the open shot, no-go, easy put back with absolutely no one for West Virginia boxing out. Game over. Season over.

There you have it, kids. Pending invitation to the CBI or CIT, the 2012-2013 Mountaineer men's basketball season, inaugural Big XII season, is done-zo. I leave you with this.
