OL Tyler Tezeno Officially A Mountaineer

Stay connected for news and updates

Three star center picks WVU over Arizona State, LSU and Boise State.

Tyler Tezeno, a 6'6, 285 lbs three star center from Klein, Texas, inked his letter of intent with West Virginia today, spurning offers from power programs like LSU and Boise State, as well as Arizona State, Northwestern, and a number of non-BCS programs. Tezeno is yet another lineman in the mold of Bill Bedenbaugh - tall and rangy, but with a low enough center of gravity to man the center position. Ranked as the 16th best center in the country by Scout.com, Tezeno made an early verbal to the Mountianeers and stuck with it despite heavy interest from other suitors. He probably isn't expect to compete for playing time right away, but with a year in the weight room and under Bill Bedenbaugh's tutelage he has all the tools to be an all-Big XII center. All in all, a very strong if unheralded signing for the Mountaineers' future on the line.

Welcome home, Tyler Tezeno!
