Eron Harris and Juwan Staten once again led the, of late, hot-handed Mountaineers in their victory today over the Blue Hose of Presbyterian College. Four Mountaineers scored in double figures on a day in which almost everyone on the team scored.
WVU just barely missed shooting 50% for the game, checking in with a final tally of 31 for 63 from the field; good enough for 49.2%. Harris had 19 and Staten contributed 16 to go along with 5 rebounds, 7 assists and a steal. Other Mountaineers in double figures were Devin Williams with 11 points and 11 boards while Remi Dibo chipped in 14, including 4 for 8 downtown.
Presbyterian continued their cold shooting ways, only hitting on 39.6%. There was also this gem:
Markus Terry gets Presbyterian's FIRST offensive rebound with 18:10 left to play and coach promptly calls timeout. Not in the game plan!

Yes, the opposition has been less than stellar, but this Mountaineer team is doing what it should do and continuing to make shots. Both of which were not the case last season. This team may not be world beaters, but it's definitely come a long way in a relatively short period of time.
Footnote:
That shot of the Coliseum above is from pre-game against Kansas last year, but it didn't have many more people than that in attendance today, which is a shame. I'm just as guilty as everyone else for not going more often, but this is just becoming a joke, especially on a Saturday with decent weather all around. Here's a video Casazza shot just before tipoff, 7 minutes before:
