Playoff settled. Now is the time for Big XII to expand

Now that the 4 team college football playoff has been set in stone beginning w/ the 2014-15 season, the time is ripe for the Big XII to consider expansion targets to insure reaching the important 12 team limit in order to have a CCG. The selection of the playoff participants will not be performed by computer rankings but by a selection committee. Said committee will undoubtedly give preference to a conference that plays a 13th game, especially since that game will enhance the strength of schedule significantly. The playoffs will be dominated by the "Big 4" conferences but the ACC could have an argument if it has an uncharacteristically solid football season from its members. The additional game COULD boost that team ahead of the best Big XII team with only 12 played games.

Bob Bowlsby knows this. Oliver Luck knows this. The rest of the conference knows this. The time is now for the Big XII to expand and join its equal brothers (SEC, Pac-12 and B1G) by insuring its playoff future via the 13th game.
