National Signing Day: OL Tony Matteo Officially A West Virginia Mountaineer
Tony Matteo, a 6'5, 285 lbs offensive guard from Manchester High School in Akron, Ohio, has committed to the West Virginia University Mountaineers, announcing the news and faxing in his National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day 2012. Matteo, the No. 64 offensive guard according to Scout.com, chose WVU over offers from UConn, Cincinnati, Pitt, and Iowa State, among others.
Matteo is another great addition to our offensive line, where OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh is in need of more big bodies as WVU transitions from a zone blocking scheme focused on rushing to a man blocking scheme more predicated on pass protection.
Welcome home, Tony!

Good addition for a unit
that sorely needs him. I hope they can get enough experience in before the season starts. Welcome to the mountains, Tony!
