Why would we want WVU wanked? (really ranked but had some serious alliteration there)
This can only be a good thing as it places the proverbial chip on their shoulder and increases motivation.
Satisfaction w/ rankings breeds complacency. Gimme # 26 or #28 anyday. It’s not like it affects seeding in the dance.
Let me get this straight.
Now you don’t think it’s a good thing to be ranked because the team might get complacent? What happened to wanting to be an elite program? What happened to the idea that we should be ranked highly all the time, and should expect to be ranked highly all the time and be able to play as the favorite?

Other than the old 3, this team is so young. I don’t think being highly ranked is advantageous for this group. This was expected to be a down year. I want this team to feel disrespected. I want our programs to surely get to the point you referred because it means that we’ve arrived. I don’t think this b-ball team has gotten to that point.
Just had a striking realization,
The hate index is the only time I cheer for Pitt, Notre Dame, or VT! lol.

I’d like to nominate Louisville to be in the Hall of Hate. All their fans do is whine and complain about WVU going to the Big 12, while they’re stuck in the Little National Conference.
I second this, actually.
I never had a problem with Louisville before but after visiting a few of their boards most of their fans on said boards go absolutely nuts with hate on West Virginia, complete with cultural stereotypes, etc. I cannot stand Louisville fans.
