Most newspaper articles suck, because hey, most newspapers aren't USA Today. But Eric Eyre's masterwork in today's Charleston Gazette went above and beyond. He took a topic that was already mooted -- Holgorsen not having a license because he doesn't have a permanent residence -- and decided it was worth 22 paragraphs. At its best, this article is a pointless exercise in filling copy. At its worst, its a designed hit piece on the head coach of WVU. I am usually not a conspiracy theorist, but with the inclusion of the casino account at the end, it sure feels like the latter.
