Expectations were too high
As the day went on, the folks we'd beaten but with some effort (Marshall, U of M) sucked so badly against lesser teams. Makes you wonder as to how well we should have been doing against those teams had we been the world beater we (or at least I) was psyched up about.
Then the LSU game. Ouch.
I'll be at the Bowling Green game, cheering loudly... and hoping we win. Here's hoping our nose tackles can take some of the double teams off of Bruce I.

I think
we’ve just been watching a team that is still learning the new system. They have made big strides over the first four games, and it looks like they can peak at the right time this year. They can still win the Big East and make the BCS. My expectations remain high.
WTH???
It was ONE LOSS… against the best team in the country… that shut down two other ranked teams.
Yeeshhh…
Exactly.
and the final score is in no way indicitive of how the game was played. Did you even watch the LSU game? Yeah, they beat us, and at the end they really put it away, but throughout the game we were trading punches and making strides, even coming within 6. If they hadn’t returned that kick for a touchdown, the game could have been drastically different.

I'm not throwing them under the bus
I think they have made strides (particularly the pass protection), I just had a little too much of the kool-aid…
