The NCAA has Failed

Stay connected for news and updates

The NCAA has abrogated it's responsibility to the other members of Div 1(FBS). By simply limiting the number of members in a conference, greedy conference building could have been avoided. Hopefully. the presidents of  institutions left out will join together and form an overall marketing consortium to control and protect the media rights of their individual schools. Otherwise, these schools will be left without a pot to piss in.
I know the simple solution would be for the remaining schools' presidents to take control of the NCAA and change the rules, but it may already be too late. Four, 16 team conferences would equal 64 presidents  giving them control of the 120 member FBS division.  Unless members of  the FCS  and other smaller divisions recognize, they also, may be further forced out of the media market and decide to support an action to reform the NCAA, it will become a 64 team college football world.
