Rita Rodriguez Highlight

PrintNot that anyone cares about Rich Rod & family any more, but after reviewing the video of the 1984 WVU-BC highlights on YouTube, I recognized the former Rita Setworth (Rodriguez) cheering on the sidelines. She is the first cheerleader seen at this link (WV) and in her prime she was fine. Funny, even in the 1980's the cameramen knew how to find the hottie cheerleader and get her on the tube a lot.
It is odd that Rich Rod is known for his last minute interception in the PSU game. I remember Rita's career at Mountaineer Field during the 1980's more than his. The guys on my dorm floor celebrated her spirit on many occasions.

Rita did have it workin’, but how about Keith Jackson?? The king of college football broadcasters doing a Mountaineer game. Classic style and great remarks about the Mountaineers and Morgantown—fantastic stuff. Nice also to remember what a gentleman Don Nehlen was on the sidelines.
