With 22 days left until kickoff, today we honor WVU's all time leading rusher, Avon Cobourne.
Igniting the Mountaineer offense from 1999-2002, Avon amassed 5164 rushing yards while averaging 4.9 yards per carry. He topped the 1000 yard mark in each of his four years and scored 42 touchdowns along the way, to go with 59 receptions for 459 yards. From 2003-2005, Avon tried to make it in the NFL, but really didn't make a mark professionally until he made his way up North to the CFL. He spent the 2006-2009 seasons with the Montreal Alouettes before signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this year.
