Thoughts on a move to the ACC...?

I've been talking with a few folks from Gobbler Country (Virginia Tech's SB site, forgive me.) and it seems like popular opinion would be in favor of WVU making the jump to the ACC. I can say that I agree. With the realignment that has happened over the NCAA and is sure to continue I think the Big East's days as an AQ conference may be numbered. Adding TCU might extend our time on AQ Death Row but unless we pull another quality program (NOT Villanova... perhaps UCF?) then I think it's just slowing. In the ACC there's more money, more competition, more television exposure, plus we get our series with Virginia Tech back which was always a great game. Of course this is all from a football point of view, but I feel like WVU could and would compete in the ACC in basketball as well...

...but my real question is and what I really want to debate here is what seems like a more split opinion... would/should Pitt follow us? Their academics fit in better with the ACC than ours (though with more money we could and hopefully would catch up.) But their fanbase and their willingness to travel to games aren't great. As much as I hate Pitt and as much as it pains me to admit, making the move to the ACC without them would pain me a little. Does anyone else agree or am I crazy? Of course the path to the BCS would be harder than it is currently.
