Somewhat buried in today's (linked) press release from the WVU Board of Governors is this little tidbit: "Board Chair Carolyn Long announced a request from the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics to amend BOG Policy 18 (Section 4.1) to permit controlled beer sales at certain athletic events." The phrase "certain athletic events" should almost certainly be read to be the revenue events of football and basketball, maybe a few others. This will be an interesting story to follow and you can expect a full post on this in the coming days.
