Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Heartland Brewery's Empire Premium Beer.
Tonight officially marks the beginning of the post-season journey for WVU when they will face Marquette, a team they lost on the road to. The Big East Tournament is well underway and yesterday had an overtime nail-biter, 2 yawners and a stunner. What will today's sessions give us? More coverage of the tournament and a few features on the football staff are on tap for today's edition.

The Sporting News piece on no BE teams in the Final Four.
Is absolutely spot-on, IMO. Very good analysis and rational explanation for the Big East’s discrepancy between regular season and touranment success.
