Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Fegley's Brew-Works Hop'solutely Triple IPA.
Tomorrow marks Senior Day at the WVU Coliseum, as Joe Mazzulla, Cam Thoroughman, John Flowers, Casey Mitchell and Jonnie West will be honored before the game against Louisville. Huggs, as usual, is asking for a big turnout to create the same kind of atmosphere that was so difficult for Notre Dame and UConn to play in. Come early and be loud. On the other side of the gender coin, the women begin their Big East Tournament tonight against Cincinnati. Despite being seeded 10th, they have a favorable draw in the bracket for a deep run this weekend. And, as we get closer and closer to spring drills in a few weeks, more and more football news should be coming. All of this and your final weekend Big East viewing guide is inside. Make sure to check back later for Country Roads' Weekend Rooting Guide for WVU's possible BET seeding scenarios.

It's go time for the jump...

Huggins Needs Mountaineer Nation to Step Up - WVillustrated.com
“We need to win some games and if the Mountaineer Nation was ever into really helping us, this would be a great time,” Bob Huggins stated last week. “Wednesday and Saturday would be a great time. The Coliseum is a totally, totally different place whenever there’s 14,000-15,000 people in there and enthusiastic and when our students show up. When they don’t, it’s not a tough place to play. [The team] needs all the help they can get right now.”
