Da'Sean Butler was cleared to play last Monday. Signed with the Spurs last Friday, and was assigned to the Spurs NBDL affiliate, Austin Toros today. It has been an eventful week for Butler to say the least. When he signed with the Spurs, they announced he would be an inactive part of the roster to continue his rehabilitation. It was suggested that he should get assigned to the Toros so he could get some playing time this season. Yesterday, Butler mentioned meeting one of the players from the Toros on his Twitter feed. I figured he would only be meeting the guy if he was going to play with him. He may have practiced with the team yesterday. The NBDL regular season is winding down, and the Toros only have three games left in the regular season. They play at Reno Tuesday night at 9:00p.m. Their last two games of the season will played in Austin against the Texas Legends. That is interesting because former Mountaineer, Joe Alexander, is a one of Texas' star players. All of these games can be watched at NBDL.com. We'll let you know if Butler returns to the court against Reno. If the Toros win their last three games, they still have an outside shot of making the NBDL Playoffs.
