The Shotgun/Throwdown: Panther Hangover (2/25/11) Edition

Welcome, By-Godders, to the Shotgun/Throwdown, WVU's nationally recognized best place for sports links, information, sophomoric humor and daily distractions. We're being brought to you today by Scottish Joker IPA, just because.

As the classic Aerosmith song says, "It's the same old story, same old song and dance." And the acronym for the song, if you didn't notice, is SOSAD. How appropriate. It was a decent/solid first half, followed by a letdown in the second. Don't get me wrong, and it pains me to say this, but Pitt is good. But for some reason, their games against WVU make them look better and that's the most infuriating part for me. Anyway, no rest for the weary as both men's and women's teams head over to New Jersey to take on Rutgers this weekend, with the women up first on Saturday. In happier news, the NFL Combine starts today with several Mountaineers participating and ESPN finally has their Big East spring football previews up. And, as usual, your weekend BE basketball viewing guide is included, just before the daily fun at the bottom.
