SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Rankings 2011
This weeks BlogPoll wrap-up is brought to you again by our poll overloard, Andy Hutchins. We're pretty much right in line with the AP top 25 this week. Well, they are right in line with us. The extra curriculars are well worth a read.
I guess where I find fault is with Michigan moving up seven spots. Illinois as well. This isn't angry Eer fan pooing on Michigan. I think they are better than the past two years. I don't think they'll fall off the cliff like they have. But they've done about as much as they did those last two to this point. They shouldn't have beaten Notre Dame (I do acknowledge and like what they did in the final two minutes). The proof just isn't there. The type of person that likes to argue could come right back and say the same about WVU, I guess.
The Zooker is just like Houston Nutt, always gets one he shouldn't. For me, that game would be the Arizona St. game. I expect Will Leach to pop in at any minute to tell me why I'm wrong, though. I think Zook may have found that place he can be just good enough, often enough, to not get fired.
If congress wants to do something, they should get Boise St. into an AQ conference. They just look so helpless up there. They have to throttle everyone they play on the schedule just to stay where they are at. It would make me sick to death to have that program and not be able to truly compete for a title.
If there's one thing I don't like about my poll, it's that I was so forgiving to South Carolina. If Garcia could cut out the mistakes, this team would be a serious contender. But that team is an unholy mess with him running the show.
